Ray Allen and his wife, Shannon, are bringing a new twist to the fast food industry with their new restaurant Grown. Grown is an organic, farm-to-fork, affordable fast food restaurant concept that is based in Miami. Grown came to fruition in 2010 when Shannon was searching for something healthy and quick to feed her son Walker, who suffers from Type 1 diabetes. After noticing that the only food around to feed Walker was greasy unhealthy fast food, she realized something had to change. Since that day she has been working to rectify this problem. Grown is scheduled to open in March at their flagship store in Miami on 8211 S. Dixie Hwy Miami, FL 33143.
