A Record-Breaking Season Comes to an End

The Celtics had a good run but their season came to an end this Wednesday in Miami. Ray led Boston in scoring with 18 points and 5 3-pointers, but it wasn’t enough down the line and the Heat were able to edge out the Celtics in the final minutes to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals.

This has been a great season despite this loss, and of course it was a meaningful season for Ray Allen. This was the season in which Ray Allen broke the NBA all-time 3-point record, on February 10th in a home game against long time rivals the LA Lakers. Ray wraps up this season with 2,612 3-pointers and no sign of slowing down. An impressive feat that has no indication of being rivaled any time soon.

This season the Celtics battled through constant injuries and trades that led to a Celtics team in the post-season that looked just similar to the unstoppable team we saw earlier in the year. Despite all this, the core of the team along with the many new additions played some great basketball, swept the Knicks in the first round and gave the Miami heat’s more youthful big 3 a run for their money.

Ray would like to thank all the fans who have kept the faith all season long and who eagerly await seeing the C’s step foot back on the court next fall.
