Ray Seals Celtics Victory in Game 1 with Clutch 3-Pointer
For long-time fans of Ray Allen this game was nothing new. After all, Ray holds multiple records for 3-point shooting in the NBA Playoffs.
The Celtics opened up the 2011 postseason with a hard-won victory over the Knicks, led by Ray Allen with a team-high 24-point game. 18 of Ray’s 24 points came in the second half, capped off by a game-winning 3-point dagger with 11 seconds to go. The knicks were left gasping for air without a full shot clock and no time-outs to draw up a play, leaving the Celts with only one more quick stop to lock up this opening game of the 2011 playoffs.
