Ray Allen Golf Classic Recap

On January 27th the Ray Allen Golf Classic and Ray of Hope Luncheon was held in South Beach at the La Gorce Country Club. Hosted by the Allen Family alongside the Holtz Family both events benefitted type 1 diabetes research.

The day was a huge success! With the sun shining and tempatures in the 80’s, couldn’t have asked for a better day to host a charity golf event and luncheon. The events had a huge turn out of guests including Miami Heat teammates LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, Chris Andersen, Rashard Lewis and Roger Mason Jr.

The evening ended with an auction where three limited, one of a kind, specially made Hublot watches headlined alongside autographed Ray memorabilia, including a pair of Ray’s game worn brand Jordan sneakers from the 2013 NBA Finals.

The events were a huge success with all the money raised going to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation and the Joslin Diabetes Research Foundation. We were able to raise $600,000 for these foundations, hopefully helping to end the fight against type 1 diabetes!

Thank you to all of our sponsors and guests who attended these events and made this day a huge success!!
