This Year’s 3-Point Contest a Celtics Showdown

If you happen to be following @paulpierce34 on Twitter you may have seen the following tweet a little while back:

“I think me and Ray Allen need to have a shootout in this years 3pt contest, What y’all think come on NBA make it happen.”

When asked for a response Ray said “I like my chances [against Pierce], for sure.” This hometown competition between the reigning 3-point champ of all-star weekend (Pierce) and the recently crowned all-time 3-point king (Allen) is making for a highly anticipated 3-point shootout during this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend.

Lets have a little contest in the comments below (Sorry no prizes). Predict the outcome of the contest, in other words, by how wide of a margin do you think Ray will win the contest?

My man ray has got this in the grocery bag, and he is already walkin’ out the store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOOO RAYYYYY!!!!!!!

  14. Admin says:

I think we all want to see Sugar Ray and P2 top the rest of the competition. This year’s all-star weekend is gonna be all-Celtics all-the-time.

  15. Ray FTW says:

Paul Pierce aint makin it to the finals with his shooting now a days.(don’t blame your hand Pierce…)

Its gonna be a showdown between Dorell Wright and Ray.

    Final score:
    Ray Allen 23 – 18 Dorell Wright

  16. Lil Sugar Ray says:

Ray Allen will surely crush his teammate Paul Pierce and every other opposition in this 3-Point Shooting Competition… They have to realize that they’re dealing with the 3-Point King right here… This dude just broke Reggie Miller’s all-time record and I don’t see him having some problems breaking these competitors’ (including Paul Pierce)spirits… As for the margin I would say 8-12 points.

  17. Dominique says:

Ray got this!! He’s not the 3 Point King for nothing!!

  18. Sean Conant says:

the way that P2 is shooting it these days…Ray wins by 7 in final round.

  19. Jessica says:

Ray wins by 5 or more!!!

  20. Chris says:

Hopefully they both face each other in the final round. Then I would put Ray winning with a score in the 20s and Paul with a score in the high teens (final score: Ray wins 22-17).
